For AIA Carnival Hong Kong 2025, Qii78.com (pronounced “key seventy eight”) and OneSeed partnered to enhance the launch of Qii78’s recycling app, transforming recycling into a rewarding experience while driving tangible environmental impact and app adoption.
Recycle and plant — Qii78’s innovative recycling app makes it fun and easy to be an active participant in the sustainability movement.
How it works: Users scan QR codes on products and recycling bins as they recycle items to earn Qoins, Qii78’s digital reward. Users redeem their Qoins, choosing from a list of rewards, including the option to plant a tree with OneSeed.
The challenge: encourage adoption of the recycling app at AIA Carnival
The AIA Carnival is one of Hong Kong’s largest annual events, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors. With large-scale gatherings come increased waste and the challenge of ensuring proper recycling. The goal was to:
