Why trees

Bees support the reproduction of as much as 90 percent of the world's fruits, vegetables, and other crops that humans and other species survive on.

Wolves have a "cascade effect" by keeping elk in check, which prevents over-browsing along riverbanks, creating an entire chain of ecological benefits.

The mountain forests of northern Thailand have been fragmented, destroying the natural habitat for a host of mammals, birds, and other local wildlife. Rewilding restores the habitat for these species to thrive.

Once entirely palm oil trees, the landscape is now being re-wilded with 25 native species tailored to the needs of the community to provide food and income security, and restore their natural forest surroundings. 80% of the staff are women.
